Nick Fink is Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at Cisco, where he leads the company’s Controllership organization with global responsibility for accounting, reporting, and financial controls across all aspects of Cisco’s business. In this role, he oversees Cisco’s global accounting and reporting functions and is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial controls and compliance framework. His responsibilities span a broad range of critical areas, including SEC and statutory reporting, technical accounting and policy, revenue recognition, supply chain accounting, leasing, treasury operations, mergers and acquisitions, and accounting across Cisco’s businesses, geographies, and functions. Nick also leads Cisco’s monthly close and consolidation process, international statutory reporting, and global governance for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and financial controls, while overseeing financial operations and shared services that support Cisco’s worldwide business.
Over his tenure at Cisco, Nick has led a number of key financial and business-critical initiatives, earning recognition for his ability to navigate complex challenges, drive operational excellence, and strengthen financial processes at scale. He is known for building high-performing teams, modernizing finance operations, and advancing strategic transformation across Cisco’s finance organization. His leadership has been instrumental in enhancing Cisco’s financial systems, controls, and reporting capabilities while supporting the company’s continued growth and operational discipline.
Previously, Nick served as Vice President and Corporate Controller at Cisco, where he oversaw global controllership, SEC reporting, technical accounting and policy, international statutory reporting, and the monthly close and consolidation efforts for more than 300 legal entities across over 100 countries. Prior to that, he led the finance organization for Cisco’s Networking businesses, partnering closely with engineering to scale and transform the company’s largest business segment. He originally joined Cisco in 2016 to lead its financial compliance organization, later expanding his responsibilities to include Cisco’s Finance Transformation Office and serving as Chief of Staff to the CFO.
Before joining Cisco, Nick served as Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Pyxus, where he led global accounting and compliance functions and helped optimize international operations. Earlier in his career, he held finance roles at Nortel Networks and Ernst & Young.
Nick is a Certified Public Accountant and holds master’s degrees in accounting and economics from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
