Mangesh Pimpalkhare is Senior Vice President and General Manager of Platform for Splunk. He is responsible for the core products and technology that underpin Splunk’s Security and Observability solutions.
As a leader at Splunk since 2019, he helped define the strategy that made Splunk Platform a mission-critical tool that helps organizations access their data to achieve digital resilience. Under his leadership, the team focused on new and expanded use cases to bring security and observability to hybrid enterprise customers with new foundational capabilities such as distributed Edge and Cloud Data Management and Federated Analytics.
Prior to Splunk, Mangesh held senior Product, General Management and Engineering leadership roles with several technology companies including Zuora, Neomagic and Intel, and a long-term mid-career role with venture capital firm Thomas Weisel Venture Partners. His deep experience across the industry, including an early role as an engineer, has contributed to his ability to evaluate early-stage companies and identify solutions that will deliver value for customers and shareholders. He continues to serve as an advisor to startup companies today.
Mangesh holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School, an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech and a B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He has co-authored 5 U.S. Patents.
